“ Forres is a small town in Moray, Scotland, with a big heart, award winning floral displays and historical buildings mixed with good  independent shops and cafés, all in the setting of natural beauty.

Situated on the south side of the Moray Firth and sheltered by mountains to the south and west the area has been recognised as having a benign microclimate for centuries, warmer and drier than its location in the north of Scotland would suggest.  The residents and visitors, whether Picts, Vikings or Scots have left their marks over those centuries resulting in an area rich in history. The area has a deep natural heritage as well, with stunning beaches and rivers, moorland, forest and rich agricultural land.

Whether you live in the area or are visiting there is much to explore and we offer some suggestions….
